Hello Everybody,

My Dad and myself are looking to head out west on what will be our first elk hunt next year. We are both excited as hell, and we will most likely be headed to Idaho with over the counter tags. But we both have bought points in Wyoming the past two years without applying, and we are looking to apply just to see if we could get lucky and draw good unit. But most likely headed to Idaho.

Just wondering how the Wyoming application works out. Speciflically do you have to pay the whole price up front or will it only be taken out of your credit card once you successfully draw? Also can anyone explain how to make a group for applications, we have always been buying points individually.

Thanks guys any info is greatly appreciated!

As stated above, Wyoming takes the money up front and if you don't draw they refund it to your CC minus the application and credit card fees. You're in the system if you've both bought PPs in the past so all you have to do is go into the "apply for a license" section and when you go into your account it will have you either check the individual box or that you're applying as a party. Check the party box and it will give you a number and you will be the leader. For anyone else they will apply as a member and use that party number so you all go into the draw as a group. You either all draw a tag or nobody will under the system they use when they apply as a member of the party and if just the two of you apply you'll go into the draw with an average of 2 PPs.
