I’m offering maybe the most authentic civilian version 513-T mfg 1946. Photos forthcoming. The rifle belonged to a hobbyist shooter college friend of my grandfather (Purdue, 1930’s). The guy took immaculate care of the gun and the stock has normal marks, no deep scratches or split. Bore has no pitting and looks sharp. There is no rust anywhere. Also comes with 1936 printing Small Bore Rifle Handbook- Townsend Whelen. The original owner’s dope card is paperclipped to the back cover.

I think $400 (that includes shipping to FFL) is a fair asking price. This rifle has really been a safe queen for the past 25 years and probably wasn’t used much by the original owner after 1980s. I am downsizing my safe of several and looking to get into 26” 7mm Rem mag. Trade is also considered.

Here it is! Got some time tonight to take these photos.

Tell you what though, Steve. Since you are new here I’ll honor that price I threw out to JC2020 wherever the hell he went. If you purchase within 24hrs. Otherwise I’ll take down this thread and put it out to gunbroker vultures. Some assholes on there are placing this gun at $600+! Can you believe that?!? So maybe I’ll do the same, but thought I would offer it to this crew first.

Thanks for the quick response. Sorry about the question. I will get back to you this evening (gotta check with my wife but I think its a go).

Oh! Yeah, your wife should know it would make my wife happy if you bought this. I’ll ship FFL to FFL two business days after receipt of a USPS money order.

Ok, I talked to my wife and she said she wanted to make your wife happy! So, I've never bought a gun this way before so you are going to have to talk me through it. I know I need to give you some FFL info from my local shop but other than that I don't know what to do.

I have a gun shop that will do the transfer (couldn't believe how many won't do it). So, where do I send the money? Also, what's the best way to transfer the cash?
