I’m selling my very good condition Howa Alpine Mountain Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Finally got some tabs on my preferred cartridge so this is headed to another home. It comes with 2 magazines that have been modified to fit flush with the DBM trigger guard. I also shaved down the release mechanism to prevent accidental release. The modified magazines hold 3 rounds and cycle smoother than they did in their original 5 and 10 round configurations. I’ll also include 24 rounds of Barnes Vor-TX 127 grain factory ammo.

$825 To your FFL unless you’re in Montana75DE3DBC-18BE-4655-A043-06EF6FAF3B8C.jpeg3D5B1166-D348-45E8-9F4A-49A3D3D48A3F.jpeg72073E84-0B29-4F7A-A2CF-446AC16F79AC.jpeg3AF4C360-0C4B-43B7-B609-CB26A1BB39F5.jpegC8DA5DC2-4661-4107-8624-2320DCCE6D31.jpeg7591A870-523C-4B2D-9A3D-840F662A4669.jpeg350673CB-4027-45B4-9027-FECD1AFE1433.jpeg

@Beignet , get yourself a Howa Superlite in .308. I have both and the Superlite with Talley Lightwieghts and Leupold 2.5x8 V3HD weighs under 5.5#s, and the Superlite is current production.

Same action and barrel but what makes the Alpine such a damn good rifle is the Bansner Stock IMO

That stock is the appeal to me as well. Haven’t had my hands on a superlite yet to see what it’s got going though.

When I got the rifle, the guys at the counter thought the box was empty, but no, it had a rifle in the box. The action is smaller than the Alpine, between the short action and the mini. The stock on the Superlite is Stocky's new technology carbon fiber, pretty dang light, kind of a tacky finish. See how well it holds up to use.

Been wanting to find a super lite to pick up and see how they feel, haven't been able to find one in my area or in my travels.
