Too bad for WY. Looks like private investment firms are still flush with cash and are willing to overpay.Sold...$1.33B to an precious metal and hard mineral investment group. Too bad for the state of WY, I was really hoping they would win this one.
Wyoming Land Grand Occidental
At least the state will get severance and ad volorum taxes when they mine the land.
Not sure. Guess I need to go to NYC and knock on some dude's door to see if they'll let me shoot an antelope on their property next season.Does anyone know what WY bid on it?

If your referring reclamation all mines are bonded for the reclamation costs. Any engineer you talk too will say that the assumptions dictated by the state have the mines way over bonded.Yep, and hopefully not left holding the bag if things go sideways.

Are they really? I mean I'm sure the mines think they are, but there is a surprising amount of abandoned mines currently being cleaned up by the public, so many in fact, that WY has it's own department devoted to it, and they even put out an annual magazine talking about how much they've done. http://deq.wyoming.gov/aml/If your referring reclamation all mines are bonded for the reclamation costs.
