Yep I released her. I release most trout over 8 or 10 pds as long as I can get a good release on them.

It doesn't get more fun than catching those things through the ice. I'm trying to fit in a trip to Canada to chase them later this winter.

Very possible. That fish came from a lake close to your cabin, maybe you figured that out already. With trout season open on all the lakes this weekend I have to decide where I want to go, I have two other power house lakes for big fish.
