Stock is unbedded.

Bore is bright.

Hint of a crack on right side of tang.

Rear sight is missing.

Plugged stock (well done) where there was a compass.

Hey can I ask what the serial number is? I've got the same rifle, serial number is 58000 if I recall correctly.
 
I have my father's Model 70 30 Gov't 06 from 1937, second year of production #11xx. Still wish it had the gold bead front sight, but he had it replaced with a fiber optic, still shoots like a dream, but with the rear peep sight the stock bites your cheek bone pretty hard. Might have to use it if I ever draw a moose tag in WA since he killed a few in Alberta back in the late 60's.
