Tony, I know what you mean.

But I don't think all labs are poop eaters; some more so than others. We had one bitch that we had to get rid of because she kept eating our other labs excrement and then she would come into the house and throw it up............totally disgusting. We had adopted her from a woman who was going through a divorce; it was shortly after we had just put-down our beloved old female black lab.

Our other lab (his 11yr birthday is this week) has eaten poop on occasion, but not like the bitch we had for a couple of months. He does seem to really like rabbit poop though.

Pitbulls are no better. It took me 2 years to figure out the damn cat was crapping in the litter box. Roxie just cleaned it for me every day before I got home. The thing that always pissed me off was the way she'd roll on a dirty diaper if she could find one. Even worse was when I didn't see her do it and she'd come traipsing in the house reaking of babay shit.

My lab problem. He's not eating crap yet but that I could handle better than what he's starting to do. Well Koda has been trying to iron out where he fits in with the family pecking order. He's been testing the waters with my wife and the youngest 2 boys. He acts as good as gold with my 2 oldest kids and myself. He has a strong dominate streak in him and for the last couple weeks he's been getting aggresive while I'm at work, bareing his teeth and growling at them. He knows he's getting the upper hand as they are now keeping thier distance from him. Last night when 1 of the boys walked by him on the deck outside he jumped up and nipped him on the hand. Today I got home early and Koda never new I was home so I asked my boy to go bring him in the back door while I watched from the next room and when Brent went to close the door Koda bit him on the arm, not hard enough to break skin but hard enough to bruise him. This was totally unprevoked and caught me off gaurd. I don't know whats got into him, he's been an absolute dream dog. My fear is if I can't get a grip on his behavior and turn it around I'm faced with getting rid of him. My only option right now is getting him fixed to see if that will calm him down.

PowderBurn,, I would get him fixed...We had a lad mix(with the neiborhoods best) and if anyone would crowd him he would nip.. He got me one day and his ribs hurt for a month and the fork between his legs got the point of my boot :BLEEP: We got him fixed and it seemed to calm him down quite a bit..Sometimes a dog needs a good ass whipping to teach him who's the boss...Our blond lab Sam, has learned to get out of the front gate..This afternoon when everyone gets home we'll run some electic wire along the bottum and let him get his nose zapped a time or two...That should break the habbit hump
