Who here has dove hunted South Dakota in recent years?, How is the dove hunting in the Coyote State?

I ask because I'm on the verge of moving to Sioux Falls in the near future. I'm wondering if there are some decent public access places for dove there that could likely produce a limit. Dove season in SD runs from Sept. 1 thru Nov. 9. Long fall season before first snows fall. This video looks somewhat promising. SD has harsh winters and milder summers. Dove hunt weather should not be super hot there. There should be plenty of dove habitat as East River is mostly farms.

I grew up in Sodak. As town kids, we used to hunt doves at the city dump because the field next to it was usually planted with sunflowers. Hammered them.

Shooting dump rats with a shotgun was pretty fun as well😂

Find any little pothole with a few trees around it and you should do ok.

Southeast SD has very limited public land. It exists, but gets hammered during pheasant season. Early dove hunting should not be a problem. Good luck.
