Spent last Friday and Saturday measuring fish for the Montana Gov. Cup Walleye Tourney at Fort Peck. Friday was a very nice day and we measured a lot of 18in to 24 in fish. The forecast for Saturday was wind to blow 30 mph after 12:00. Well they were right.

Old Glory was flying when we got back to the marina

I was on a 24 foot boat and was happy but the fisherman were tossed around pretty good

Big fish we measured over the two days. 12lbs.

I wish instead you would have titled this thread "Glasgow Blows" :D

Looks fun Nemo. I haven't gotten near enough walleye fishing in this summer. It sounds like Sak is having a phenomenal year, how has Peck been?

The bite has been the best since I have been here . Have to sort through a lot of smallies and northerner to get to the walleyes

That sounds like a real struggle!

I don't know if you talked to your kin back this way, but Devils Lake has been incredible this year as well. The bite has been close to nonstop since early May.

I was over there in mid May for my great Aunt's 95th birthday. Didn't fish but the guys who did knocked them dead. Had a great fish fry.

Tough to go that far when 20 miles away we are catching fish. Maybe this winter.

Growing up fishing Sakakawea, we used to say "You know it is windy when you have whitecaps in the minnowbucket!". So I can relate.
