Naw, they only want to be able to beat a drum and carry on, not really wanting to come up with an answer to thier percieved plight, just run their mouths, call names, make mountains out of mole hills, or even non existant problems.

Buzz, I hate to point this out, but the article was posted by feclnogn, not elkchsr. I know you guys have a lot of animosity towards each other, but don't start blaming him for things he didn't post!!!
Sorry everyone, in advance, for the litany of "I told you so's" and "Shut up's" that will probably follow, but here goes:
IMHO, I think all these little personal wars on this board are getting old. I originally came on here to get some advice about a rifle purchase and have stayed because there is a lot of great information to be had. Unfortunately, I have to wade through an incredible amount of garbage mainly consisting of personal attacks.(I'm not picking on one person here, it is several people, and it comes from both sides.) It's starting to get as bad as a presidential election, but at least those only come around once every four years.
So, if at all possible, could everyone please get off thier high horses and stop with all the crap. I know that is a lot to ask, and I am relatively new to this board, but I like it here!!! Sometimes it is really funny, but most of the time, its just sad. We're all adults here (I think) and we should be able to have intelligent conversations without lowering ourselves. It's OK to have differing opinions, in fact, it is necessary. But if things get so ugly that you feel a need to start getting personal, just simply agree to disagree and keep it to yourself.

I thought this was an interesting article so I posted it. I like the website it came from and like to link to it once in a while. It seems to me some folks take this stuff way to personally. Like guppie said, chill out, enjoy life and have a margarita. Hell I'll buy.
I really don't have any animosity towards any one on the board.
I don't even see what the nasty attacks are for as of late.
I think it is some thing about a few that can't live life with out having this type of on going anger continually spewd...
I also read that article and thought it a good one. I suppose because it does't go down the lines of some beliefs, it is sacralige and any one even stating any thing for it would be construde as the enemy of enemies....
All well, some think they need to call bullshit where they see it, even if there is non to be called. They are so filled with hatred for any number of reasons they wouldn't honestly be able to see the bigger picture if they wanted to.
Of course then again, some times it isn't the amount of posts that make one high and mighty, it is how many an individual can get into a single thread with their names or the names of their buds on the front of it that counts.

I dont have a problem with your article, I found it interesting. But, I didnt make any stupid assed comments about it either.
What I have a problem with is Elkcheese pretending to understand complex issues.
He cant even figure out the simple ones.
Why cant Elkcheese just read an article and keep his mouth shut...very seldom does it happen.
Any kind of intelligent discussion on any topic he posts in, is lost in a hurry with his jibberish.

Its personal expression, the world is not going to end over it. Its what makes life interesting. Nobody is perfect, we all screw up some, we just have to live with it. Its hard to say anything, without someone make the opposit point about the same thing. Its human conversation. Half the threads don't stay on topic.
I'm pissed no one here is writing the New Mexico game commission to continue support for pubic land trapping. Their deer herd was cut in half from 1970 to 2000. Predators ate 65% of fawns in a research summary from 1976 to 1981 there. That's just deer. We need to continue trapping, even increase it, not ban it, like the proposal being considered.
US Sportsman's alliance web page has the addresses to write too.
