What’s the worst item you’ve lost?

With all the gear we take hunting, it seems it’s inevitable before we lose something. I’m curious what is the worst thing ya’ll have lost?

For me, I was doing pretty well until last year when my holster with my Glock 19 came off somewhere in the first two miles on the trail. I was especially bummed since we were going into grizz country. I like to think someone found it and is using it rather than just sitting in the woods.

I lose at least 2 bugle tubes every September. Those camo covers look awesome till you leave the damn thing laying the last place you sat down.

Canoeing in BWCA in late May just after ice out and my fixed blade knife slipped out of my pocket into the cold deep. Immediate thought was dive down and grab it and next thought was 35 degree water maybe bad idea. What hasn't rusted away is still on the lake bottom.

I lost count of how many prescription sunglasses I've left behind in forests and river bottoms.

We were paddling a canoe full of decoys across the lake with my shotgun on top of the decoys. Until it wasn't. Splash! That was the worse, the best thing I lost in the woods was my virginity. Yah, didn't mind losing that at all.

When I was a student at UM, I allegedly had a beautiful soapstone pipe that someone named me had allegedly made and allegedly may have smoked some alleged substances out of. Somewhere in the Welcome Creek Wilderness that alleged pipe fell out of my alleged pocket and returned to the earth.

Lost a broadhead and couple inches of an arrow in the shoulder of a buck last year, that's the worst that comes to mind. Thought I had lost a nice glass call I received as a gift but thankfully it had just fallen out of my pocket in a buddy's truck.

A digital camera with pics of my first mulie and speed goat. Lost it in the breaks in a hellish canyon packing out my mulie. Still bummed over it 19 years later

Rangefinder once, sunglasses twice, and knives more than I care to admit.

My range finder was getting fixed, so I borrowed someone else's on an antelope hunt. Never knew where it disappeared, all I knew was I was out $550 for a new one...

Lost a hunting partner once in the mountains of Colorado, he didn't believe his GPS....
He was found a day and a half later. Some reason he hasn't made a return trip yet

I started wrapping fluorescent orange tape around the handles of all my knives.
I can lose sight of knives gutting animals..being color blind is annoying.
