Oh, nothing much. My house almost burned all the way down though!
Has anyone been in this situation? So far I've hired a public adjuster or PA to counter the insurance adjuster and I've got some good friends that are construction contractors.
Funny thing is the Fire Department investigator said that it looked like an intentional fire and the insurance investigator has drawn the same conclusion. I know that I haven't pissed off anyone that bad lately (cept for minimoose
) and my ex and I don't get along all that well and the order of protection I had against her expired 3 years ago with out any other incidents.
Two neighbors who ran in the house to rescue stuff found a teenager in the house before they got there and he appeared to be rescuing stuff too, but when the Fire Department got there, he exited stage left!
What's even funnier, neither investigator wanted the address or phone number of my neighbors! I would think that they would want to talk to witnesses while this kids description is fresh in their minds!
Oh, well. The important thing is that no one was home and all of the animals were rescued. Things could have been a lot worse.
I think I have everything covered, but I'm open for suggestions if y'all can think of anything.
Thanks!
