What do you have on tap/grill/smoker for the game?

I brined a pig leg for 8 hours, smoked it for 2, and then tossed it in a waterbath/sous vide. This is 100% experimentation, we'll find out tomorrow if it works.

My wife sent me some Sausage and cheese in the mail. That's the closest I'm gonna get to a BBQ. With all the snow we got, the AFN (Armed Force Network) is even down right now. Hope we get it back up by 3:30am…….because that's when the game starts here. Go Broncos!

My buddy was supposed to come down from Denver with his girlfriend, so I was going to make the whole spread of cool stuff, but now he has to work. So, I'm just going to do a pizza, and being from upstate NY I have to do chicken wings too...lol I'll be munching on homemade guacamole and chips through the game until it's dinner time.

Go Broncos!!

I will be making some moose meatballs. This will be the fourth time I've made them since September.

I take the 6 pounds of moose burger and roll it into balls with nothing added.
I've fry the balls up in bacon grease so that they stick together.
While this is happening in a sauce pan I've got:
3/4 cup Soy sauce
1 1/2 cup Honey
Chili powder
White pepper
Onion powder
Garlic cloves
Half of a dark beer

Put the balls in dish, pour the sauce on em, and put it the oven at 300 for about 45 minutes.

I've also tried the same recipe with mule deer, And it greatly improved the flavor of the stinking rutting buck. Not as good as moose though.

I made a smilar set of meatballs. Vension (2/3) and pork (1/3), finely chopped onion, garlic powder, sage, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Browned in bacon grease and then simmered in a Paulaner Oktberfest Marzen. They are big enough to use as sliders :) Also, made my "better than your Mama's" German potato salat!! Taking it all to a buddy's house.

Bought 15 lb pork shoulder, and 10 lb brisket. My buddy, the smoking pro, is getting busy as we speak! >>>Would have given him a 3 foot elk back strap to do - but no elk this year. (still sucks!)

Goose meat is not SB table fair.

GO BRONCOS!

might have to send you a care package dustinf - sounds not fun.
if broncos win, pm your address an will ship you some bbq and a SB CHAMPION BRONCO tshirt.

We're not big into the NFL (much more into college football) and this is the first year in a while we aren't going to a SB party. Probably just toss some brats on the grill and make ultimate nachos - shredded beef, guac, tomatoes, grilled peppers, jalapeños, refried beans - tailgate style. I suspect my wife will ditch the game before kickoff or at first commercial break, and each of my boys after the end of the first 2 quarters. If it's tight, I might even see the end.

For you Washington and Colorado guys looking for extra mojo and fan support: my allegiances can be bought with elk tenderloins or moose meat ;)

Whatever the wife decides to cook tonight. I'm at work and won't be watching the game at all. Janet Jackson ruined it for me. And all the other nasty halftime performers.

Heading over to a neighbors house for the game, taking 7 layer salad, shrimp cocktail,,,,,,,and fresh doe tenderloin from yesterday's harvest,,,,,yum! :D

Mrs.Harley's world famous potato soup with hotwater cornbread. 5 inches of much needed moisture (snow) on the ground...we're pretty dam't giddy here.

I'm going to a SB party, but I started this Tuesday. Letting it cook thru the game and will eat it afterwards (the game starts at 430 Denver time):

Go Broncos!

I corn a couple bear roasts every year. The large grain and extra fat makes it perfect for it.

I had to set aside the last two roasts off this years bear the other day to make sure I had one left for St.. Patricks. We've ate 90% of that guy, best bear I've ever ate.
