Thank you for the sharing of the article. The first thing I thought when I saw it was wolverine. Too big for raccoon and doesn’t have the ears of a raccoon. Maybe a cross over breed of some sort.View attachment 287659

I don't think you can say definitively that it's NOT Gulo gulo, but I would guess bad lighting is obscuring some raccoon-like features.
