Wester Watershed's lawsuit in UT

I've got a couple of problems with this lawsuit and article. First is the use of "right" in the title. I would think grazing of public lands is a priviledge and not a right, but I guess they know who their main audience is. Second, is WW suing the BLM for ALL the allotments. That is a blanket management strategy, of which the accuse the BLM of doing. I think a better situation for all involved would be a per allotment basis, but that may be more costly in the long run. FWIW, the one allotment in the area that is not involved in the lawsuit is the same permittee that I will be working with this summer.

Western Watersheds will win this one. They carefully pick their battles and go for the ones that are such clear cases of abuse and mismanagement that they have a 99% chance of winning.
