338 federal VS 8mm/08.
The boy has a 110 savage he thinks would serve us better as one of these.
The bullet selection goes to the 338 the cool factor goes to the 8mm/08.
What are the consciences here?
I kinda lean to the 338.
We have most of the similar cartridges, just looking for something to build.

I've long had an admiration for the .338 Fed. But that's just me. Which is cooler? They're both pretty cool.

I’ve got a 338 Fed in a Kimber and a custom 338/06 on a CZ550. Both cool. I like short actions and based on your original question, I’m a 338 Fed guy. All day. Great deer medicine and a fun camp fire conversation starter.
