Turkey Day Goose Hunt

After Achilles repair surgery, 86 days in a boot and a week with a cane I was cleared by the physical terrorist to be able to walk without a cane and to do a little hunting. Got out this morning for a couple of hours.

I was very thankful to be out this morning.

I read that and thought 1) I hope someone told the ducks & geese or they're all toast and 2) there are going to be some good photos of lots of birds. Good news on the Achilles and congrats!

Those are some really big birds compared to what we get here on the West side of the Rockies.
