Unlike the wussy dual citizenship geese that head south these guys have weathered -33 and wind chills of -49. There are days they're so loud out back we have to turn up the TV.

Hey Powderburn,
What is the "true story" about hunting ducks and geese in Alberta? Can migrants from South of the Border come up and find access to birds by driving around in the afternoon and locating them, then politely knocking on the receptive door of generous Canadian landowners?
Jose,
I have been up there both guided and unguided. Either way you will have more land to hunt then you have time. While free lancing we have only been turned down a couple of times and usually it was because the landowner had given permission to somebody else already.
If you want to just enjoy a couple of days of unbelieveable waterfowling I say go up. Limits are generous and species are numerous.
