trapping advice

hey guys was thinking about getting into trapping next year. Dont really know where to start anyone know of a good movie or book to get that could help out?

To be honest Tom Miranda has some good stuff out there for movies.Most are from years ago before he had his tv show. Russ Carmen has some good books also.

You may want to find out when/where your state trappers convention is (usually summer). Lots to learn by watching and listening, especially if some of the old timers are around.

The best way to learn is to find a trapper in your area. Spend some time with him and you will learn way more than any books or movies.

Knowing what are you interested in trapping would help in giving advice.One thing I would check into first is if a trapper education class is required to get a liscense.Some states are starting to require this.lots of great educational material out there but also some not so good.
