Looking for some ideas here. I’ve been in the park tons, but don’t know much about some other areas in the vicinity.
Have a close friend from overseas who is able to fly to Bozeman in August in the midst of visiting family elsewhere in the US. It was much cheaper than flying into Missoula for some reason. I’m going to pick him up late Friday night, then drop him again on Tuesday afternoon.
I’d initially thought we could try to make a run at Lake Plateau in the BT’s via Upsidedown. But that might be a stretch to cover in the time we have with the elevation gain to get up there. Not sure what the road situation is post-flood either.
I know this part of MT is well represented on HT and would welcome some suggestions about places you all enjoy. I’m thinking we’d keep it under 30mi or so depending on elevation gain. Ability to cast a line somewhere along the way would be a nice bonus.
