Looking to get a 22lr bolt action. I have an old nylon 66 n some pistols, but no bolt action. Want to spend around $500 on the rifle; so not a high end one. Want to be able to get a suppressor for it; lots of coons getting into our feeders. What are y’all’s thoughts on the CZ-457 varmint 16.5” barrel? Have looked at Buds Guns n Gun Broker

I have the CZ 455 Training Rifle. It's a tack driver. I wouldn't hesitate on any of their 22s.

Another vote here for the Tikka T1x. I have that for 17hmr and it’s awesome. Plus it has a threaded barrel if you ever decide to really have some fun and get a suppressor.

My son and I both have CZ 457 Varmints in 22lr. I did have a 455 but like the 457 as much or more. They may be more than $500.00 now, but are worth it. You can swap barrel to 17Hmr or 22Mag. and that can be a plus.

If you want walnut and blued steel CZ457,
stainless and authentic Tikka T1X. Both are excellent rifles.
