I snuck in and watched this buck, waiting to get a good look at his antlers. For almost four hours he sat in the brush, then finally he stood and turned in my direction. At that instant, I knew he was a good mature deer and well worth taking. I dropped him with one shot at 118 yards. This is a day I won’t soon forget.

I love the character of your buck. He will make a great looking mount. Congrats on a successfull hunt. I think the 4 hours would have killed me!

Wow thats a dandy, I bet your taxidermist is a happy man, with the deer and elk both, congrats on both animals!

Hey great looking deer Fairchase. He will surely eat good this winter and look nice hanging on the wall. One question, are you gonna leave the velvet on or take it off?
Again great looking deer.

Thanks for the replies everybody.
Q.D. I'm having the shreds of velvet beetled along with the skull for a euro mount. At first I wanted to keep the velvet hanging on but it turned black within a few days. I felt it was getting ugly and distracting from the actual bone.
