This executive order was only a year ago.I recall a similar, yet different, "read my lips" moment just over 4 years ago.
Not what I referred to...This executive order was only a year ago.
Biden had no idea he signed natural gas export pause, Johnson says
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., recalled a meeting with President Biden from early last year during which the president appeared to forget he signed a pause on liquified natural gas exports.www.foxnews.com
More of the same. He just signed what he was told to sign. Not what I referred to...
Because he didn't pause exports. He paused issuing permits on building new LNG export facilities. It was virtue signaling to the enviros then and the reversal is virtue signaling to MAGA today. This executive order was only a year ago.

Biden admin shoved it through last minute.Because he didn't pause exports. He paused issuing permits on building new LNG export facilities. It was virtue signaling to the enviros then and the reversal is virtue signaling to MAGA today.
Maybe, but seems if it or some other BLM has oil or natural gas under it there will be larger risk now. Seems like a no win situation for public land when the only value politicians see in it is what can be extracted from it.Biden admin shoved it through last minute.
It will be reversed. LS Energy won't be able to use the IRA funds for this project, thus saving the US taxpayers from this wasteful spending, not to mention the wind farm development on our public land. Sounds like a win to me.BLM approves Lava Ridge wind farm

Natural gas and oil are reliable energy sources, that pay royalties to the government, and don't require subsidies from the government to exist. Till we find better ways to produce electricity, fuel our cars, and heat our homes, we are going to be dependent on them.Maybe, but seems if it or some other BLM has oil or natural gas under it there will be larger risk now. There exists accounting legerdemain that is tantamount to subsidies...Natural gas and oil are reliable energy sources, that pay royalties to the government, and don't require subsidies from the government to exist. Wind and solar are not the answer.
Conversations with you on this are exhausting. All I will say is solar and wind pay rental rates on the land used rather than extraction fees on the stuff taken out of the ground. The net effect is the same.Natural gas and oil are reliable energy sources, that pay royalties to the government, and don't require subsidies from the government to exist. Example? Things like depreciation, ect. that all businesses use. You don't think those wind farms depreciate their wind turbines? There exists accounting legerdemain that is tantamount to subsidies...
O&G, mining, etc. also pay land rental rates on land used, on top of royalties. Perhaps you were referring to the capacity fee W and S pay for electricity generated.Conversations with you on this are exhausting.
