I saw this deer earlier in the season. I left him and thought I would find a bigger one. Wrong.

This year was tough to find a bigger deer. There were more people hunting in "my" area than I have ever seen before. I dont know why they came to this area this year.

After hunting on and off for 3 weeks I thought I better fill my tag. My wife said she wanted some summer sausage. I went back to the spot where I first saw this deer. I found him about 1/2 mile from where he was earlier. Boom and my tag was filled. I debone him and packed him out to the truck. 2.1 miles was what my GPS said it was. It was not a fun pack out.

Sorry for the poor picture. One of these days I will find someone to go with me to be my gun bearer and picture taker.

Your invited! Although you have to be able to cut meat, have a strong back, carry lots of snacks,glass all day when cold, keep quiet when stalking, make lattes in the morning and evening, BBQ steaks, take good pictures, and oh yeah, do it all while being blindfolded.
