The year of the elk

It has been a long time since I have hunted elk. This year I helped a friend pack out two archery elk in Mt one cow and one bull. Early in the year I agreed to help out my two brother inlaws on their NM elk hunt and now I await a hunt in Wy where I have a cow tag and my friend has a cow and bull tag. Attached are pics from the NM hunt one elk is the first for the hunter and the other is his 4th elk. Both are personal bests. Fires last year in the unit drought and floods this year.
