I think may just be the longest post I have ever made

I thought this was intresting so I'm sharing it with everyone. It came from the wolf calender that OL got me for Christmas.
Although there is still disagreement among scientist about the numbre of subspecies of the gray wolf, the most recently classification scheme delineates fice distinct subspecies in North America.
Commonly referred to as the eastern timber wolf, Canis lupus lycaon is found in southeastern Canada. Although its range used to include eastern areas of the Unitede States-and although people in the Lake Superior region still refer to the wolves found there as timber wolves- studies done in the 1990s have found that it is a different subspecies that inhabits that area now.
The Great Plains wolf is the subspecies that is currently found in Upper Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Also known as the buffalo wolf, its scientific name is Canis lupus nubilus. Its originally inhabited the Great Plains of the United States and Canada.
In the Artic lives another subspecies of the gray wolf, the arctic wolf. Also called the white wolf for its mostly cream or white coloring, its scientific name is Canis lupus arctos.
Once found in Mexico and the southwestern regions of the United States, the Mexican wolf is the smallest subspecies of the gray wolf in North America. Also called the lobo, its scientific name is Canis lupus baileyi. Although the Mexican wolf caould no longer be found in the wild by the end of the 1970s, it was reintroduced into Arizona and New Mexico in the late 1990s.
The Rocky Mountian wolf inhabits Alaska and the northern Rocky Mountians of Canada and teh United States. A large wolf, it is also referred to as the Mackanzie Valley wolf. Its scientific name is Canis lupus occidentalis.
