If they made them forfeit any financial gains from their illegal activity it may deter some people.
 
I’m in Ventura County and we have ran into these dirt bags in the back country a few times. They weren’t necessarily poaching but they would ride around you on the dirt trail and completely screw up your efforts. They didn’t care about screwing up our hunt. They’d sweep every canyon and just ride on. I’m really glad to see they got caught. My concern is them getting off easy like most of them do.
 
On second thought maybe they were new to the country and didn't know it was illegal, those poor guys. Hope nobody throws the book at them. Lot of racism going on in this thread just cuz there Hispanic you guys want to throw the book at them. Geez.
