Tahr rut hunt

I just got back from 5 days hunting tahr. Shot three bulls for skins and meat. The hunt was in one of the coldest places in NZ at around -10 C at night, which I guess isn't cold for many places in USA. Here are some iPhone photos.

You must be getting tired of people saying what stunning country you hunt in, but sorry you do!

My friends son is heading your way in November with his girl friend, staying a minimum of 12 months, going to try and find a camper to buy when they arrive, he doesn't hunt but loves his fly fishing, i taught him to fly fish, tried to get him into hunting but it just wasn't in his blood.

Thanks Richard. We have some pretty good trout fly fishing, so hope your friends son gets some time on a river. Grab a fishing license and you can access many public rivers to fish.
