Sunday Columbia River fun

Mmmmm dill butter and bbq in some tinfoil... oh my! Congrats! Looks like a decent day too? Rain seemed to hold off until just a little bit ago here in the ‘couve

Would love a walleye trip out there one day! Nice catch

It was good this morning weather wise. Took a while for us to find them and the bite to turn on.

I had never fished for or caught a sturgeon so it really was a great time. We also hit the shad run which was interesting to say the least.
If you can find a bank spot that isn’t shoulder to shoulder the shad run is a lot of fun, especially when the runs start breaking 100k a day here shortly

I bet. We caught plenty at the rate it is now. Was interesting until I figured out how to time my cast with the dudes around me.

They make good sturgeon bait if you keep a couple, cut them up and brine them. Not awesome eating fish by themselves I usually throw them all back

The guy next to me was keeping them so he got mine. He said they throw them in a slow cooker.
