Trying to get into the Selway but grounded in MT due to smoke. Bored so I thought I would whine on HT. Any thoughts on what to do in Hamilton?

I ate at Naps the other day for the first time in a long time. It has changed a lot since I was last there but was still probably one of the best deals for a burger and fries around. Get there before the dinner rush.

Otherwise hit the breweries. Drive down to Darby and rubberneck at where they film Yellowstone. I almost got rearended and T-boned at the same time last week because of stupid tourist darting out in traffic while they were making a U-turn.

Another vote for a Naps burger. Go poke around the river if you have a fly rod with you. Take a drive to Sula to look for bighorn sheep along road.

The Ravalli County Museum has some cool history there. Maybe check out the Daly Mansion.

You could venture north to Missoula and see RMEF or B&C.

Stop in at Hamilton Pack and get some jerky. I would hardly ever recommend non-homemade jerky - but it's very good.

If you do make it down to Darby, the Blue Joint has great food! At least last time I was there. The bar side of it is pretty cool too.

@mulecreek How long are you going to wait it out before either canceling or just dealing with the smoke? I'm pulling the plug on my backpacking trip here in WA tomorrow.
Spent some time along the River. Looked like a great place to fish, just no gear. Saw the sheep around Sula. From Wisdom to Hamilton is neat looking country. Naps was fine. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

We will definitely wait it out through tomorrow. Hunting with a friend that is already in there with camp. Camp is a several hour horseback ride from the airstrip. Not really prepared with everything I need to hunt from the truck or off my back. Can’t extend the hunt due to work so if we don’t fly out tomorrow it’s going to make this difficult. Whole thing sucks but it’s still nothing compared to what the folks in the flames are dealing with. Wishing the best for all affected by these fires
