I have a browning BPS composite camo stock that's very sticky to the touch as in almost like glue that is not set. The receiver isn't sticky just the stock and forearm. What can I do to fix this?

Is this one with a Dura-touch coating? In some cases that's the design but it may also be a sign that it's deteriorating. If that's the case, then Browning was involved in a settlement last year. I think they're replacing the stock with new.

A quick google suggests you can clean it off yourself if you prefer.

Yes. I have a Winchester SX3 ( same in Auto) with the duratouch stock. Got sticky. I sent it to Browning and they replaced it. Was able to sent it directly to them and them directly back. Easy

My son in law left his Sako 85 synthetic in the case too long and ruined the soft touch areas.

Contact Browning and they will send a new one. It is caused when the oils or other chemicals (bug spray from turkey hunting) react to the stock. I took the old one and used paint stripper to clean it up and then repainted it.
