Lots of snow still up in the Sierras. Usually melted off by now. A few critters running around.

That's some pretty cool looking country.
Those critters are pretty high up for this time of year.

Way south of Donner.
Near camp Montecito, in between Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks.
The mountain peaks are actually in Sequoia park.
I took the family to spend the weekend at Montecito.
We usually go canoeing, but the lake was still frozen over.
A lot more snow than usual for mid May, and it’s going to rain again this afternoon. If the rain extends to night, it will turn into more snow.

We still had quite a bit of snow in the hills last week as well.

During a raptor survey this morning I had to check a few roads before crossing.:D

Not a bad day to be out and about.

Good news, Miller. Does that mean my favorite walleye pond will be full when I arrive in a couple weeks?
