SD Bighorn Auction

As a "proud" employee of the State of South Dakota, I get to experience Gov. Noem's unequivocal ruling daily, from my desk about 200 yards away from the Capitol.
I have started to refer to her as "South Dakota Stalin".
She has undermined so many State Departments, not just GFP, it's truly baffling. Most of which is unknown to those outside of state government.

Her priorities are as follows:
1) Farmers
2) Pheasant hunting operations
.
.
.
99) The general public.

(oddly enough, she owns a farm AND a pheasant hunting operation)

I don't mean to high jack this thread, but I can't stand when politicians discard science/facts, industry/field experts, etc. and make decisions based on personal feelings.

Rant over.

Do you think Sutton would have been the same way?

I don't believe so. Just one example, I don't believe that he would have wasted loads of license dollars on live trap giveaways and predator bounties that could have been put to far better use.
I believe that if Sutton would have been elected there would have been classic party lines politics and gridlock. Every decision or idea would be thoroughly critiqued, questioned, and criticized by the legislature (89 R's and 16 D's) and the general public.
I thought it was very interesting how big of a fight he gave her in the last election (closest race since 1986). For a state that historically is incredibly right leaning, he had a surprisingly large turnout (50.97% Noem, 47.6% Sutton, Evans 1.43%).
