We met with a couple, who live around Lake Willoughby, Vermont during the peak of the changing leaves. The rock sided mountains with a mass array of colors was beyond the perfect backdrop for a cold dive.
I recently ramped up my PADI certs to include Adv OW, Nitrox, and Dry suit.

Needless to say, the dry suit cert came in very handy! 56* at surface. We hit 60' and no thermal so, not bad. The scenery made this one day trek phenomenal!

I'm trying to learn how to pull some of the typical green out of the underwater videos. Seems common w/o light for green to be a main color underwater. Heh. Fun messing with Shotcut (Free video editor). Hopefully I'll have something to share in the next couple days.

It was a blast diving though I'm still learning the use of the dry suit mechanics while my dive partner is a guru 1,000+ dive master(?). A good dive buddy to have - Haha!

We found a very old Budweiser can that was in great shape! I wish we had a mesh bag to carry it with us... similar to this style:

A Rapala lure with rusted off hooks and some other odds and ends. We wandered through a high walled alley of rocks that had a cavern within though we didn't explore the cavern, nor have I learned the skills for such. It was limited clarity, maybe 15'-20'(?). It's supposed to be one of the clearest lakes in VT however, we believe the recent rains mucked up the water a bit from run off. Outside of that, no fish or land locked atlantic salmon that I was surprised to learn live in the lake, well, we did see one minnow/ shiner.

Hopefully I'll have a video before too long.

Here's the video put together with the snippets we had. I need an updated underwater camera vs the GoPro (Dinosaur version). However, it works and still, not too bad. If you ever have a chance, A specific two week time frame, the foliage is absolutely amazing!
