SB 237 will come up on Third reading today in the Senate. It will pass out of the senate and move to the House. Interestingly enough, a meeting was held recently in Avon to discuss bison relocation to Spotted Dog, and an interesting glimpse in to the mind of several legislators has cropped up.

SB 237 directs FWP to eradicate the disease in elk. The Montana Legislature, either knowingly or not, is advocating massive test and slaughter programs in elk with this bill.
It's not the wolves hunters need to be wary of, it's the legislature.

Kerns said the only way to eradicate brucellosis in Yellowstone Park bison would be with a huge test and slaughter program.
