SB 237 will come up on Third reading today in the Senate. It will pass out of the senate and move to the House. Interestingly enough, a meeting was held recently in Avon to discuss bison relocation to Spotted Dog, and an interesting glimpse in to the mind of several legislators has cropped up.

Kerns said the only way to eradicate brucellosis in Yellowstone Park bison would be with a huge test and slaughter program.

SB 237 directs FWP to eradicate the disease in elk. The Montana Legislature, either knowingly or not, is advocating massive test and slaughter programs in elk with this bill.

It's not the wolves hunters need to be wary of, it's the legislature.

I'll get the regular thread up in a bit. Wanted to get this out there for now.

HB 174, the silencer bill will be heard in the Judiciary Committee on the 16th.

Without a spear why do we need silencers?

"...either knowingly or not..." My aching arse. Just like Wellborn and his cronies never meant to restrict stream access with HB 309. So many misunderstandings, both in the legislative body and in the body of folks that for voted for them....
