A friend of mine just got back from Valdez and brought me some salmon shark meat. I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes for cooking this. Should I just grill it like I would other fish, or does anyone have something else??? Thanks.

You bet.. Mix 1/2 cup of Parmessan cheese and 1 cup of crushed Ritz crackers. Add a bit of Garlic powder and some parsely to taste. Mix 2 eggs in a pint of milk.

Wash the fish in cold fresh water. Dip it in the egg/milk batter then roll in the cracker crumbs and cheese. Fry it in real butter until it's just brown on each side (About 3 minutes). Serve with rice or pasta or whatever you like.

Hey guppie,
Just noticed ya were from North Pole, I have a buddy that's lived there for about two years. He's been doing a little bow hunting for caribou with no luck yet. How bout yourself?

I was out moose hunting all weekend with no luck, only saw some cows. I'm going out again Wednesday and again Friday and Saturday. If we don't have any luck with that, than my buddy and I are going to head out for some 'bou the week after.

My buddy killed a Cow in 20a this weekend they had that registration hunt. took him and his wife 6 plus hours to get that big girl out of the woods and into the freezer.

Good luck with your hunting guppie, let us know how you do, and congrats to your buddy nightwolf. I'm heading out Fri. for a two week elk hunt.
Good hunting :)

Have a good shark recipe have been cooking sharks of all types and catching them around the country for the last 15 yrs.
first if you want a good grill or bake this is the best way i found
first you get some tinfoil enough to wrap the meat and veggies. then you wash your meat in cold water then you put in tinfoil put three pieces of fresh garlic in diff places on the fish , then add one to two shots of whiskey depends on size of meat 2lbs one shot and so on, next add fresh veggies add garlic powder ,oinonpowder, little bit of cajun spice,a couple of drops of hot sauce or mild, add a half of cube of butter 3lbs or less whole cube if more then seal in tinfoil and put on top rack of grill med setting for 1hour. if in oven put on 350 for 1 hour and then eat. Hope you enjoy this recipe it can be used for any kind of meat makes vary tender and tasty.
