I know that there are plenty of Alaskans on this site and I am hoping for some tips. I will be headed back to Prince of Wales on July 14th for 5 days of fishing. I will stay with a friend that has a boat and we will fish in the Inside Passage most of the time (He has lots of knowledge fishing the Passage). I would also like to experience some fishing of the streams. Any tips for fishing the streams??? Time of day, lures, weather......any advice would be appreciated. I did buy a Vibrax "blue fox" lure as some online say this is good for the streams.

Thanks in advance.

I was there a couple years ago with members of this forum. We were there later in the year. Just about every stream had fish in it. Lower water seemed easier to fish. We got a storm and all the water blew me out. Always be wary, I saw several bears. I was not in danger but always watching out. We were in Thorne bay. You don't have to drive far to find fish unless you just want to be alone. Every store around will offer up advice for what lure is working today. Good luck, that is a fantastic island. Take lots of pics.
