Ron Jeremy's balls in my hands!

Yes, yes he is. I'd tell you he's a dandy, but you already knew that. Haven't you learned that the "Alaskan Deadpan" look is where it's at when it comes to photos? Congrats! When is iamthedecoy.com launching?;)

ANy more pics? That is a great goat. How many B&C antelope do you have?

Uffda. Nice when they are bigger in person than they look in pics. Congrats, Kurt. Can't wait to see that one in person.

I taped Ron Jeremy's long, thick, hard (and black) last night. There was a case of shrinkage. :D

He's roughly 16.75, 6.5, 6, 3.75, 2.5 with 5.25 prong. His score gets killed on deduct and where mass measurements are taken, but that doesn't change the fact that he's super-awesome. Should gross 82 but will net over an inch less.

It's been 4 years since I've taken a male animal with my bow, and believe me - the dry spell is not for lack of opportunities or effort. I've had a lot of close calls over the last few years bow-hunting on spectacular animals, so it was pretty great to finally connect.

I first saw this pronghorn buck in July of 2009 and he was my 2nd choice buck to hunt for that year. I made 3 trips across the state in 2009 and hunted 5 days. I had 3 separate (in-range) close calls with that buck but didn't connect. I ended up taking him with a rifle on opening day of the gun season. Had I arrowed that one, he would have tied the MT state #1 archery buck that a friend of mine took 20 years prior.

This summer, the first place I looked was where I'd seen this guy last year. He was the 2nd buck antelope I saw and I was able to get a lot of photos of him. Ironically, I only hunted about 30 minutes this year for this guy. I didn't expect to take him during archery - but it was the peak of the rut when anything can happen. I'm glad I made the afternoon detour because I got super lucky. I spotted him in the distance from a county road, before he disappeard over the horizon in a place I might have not looked for him. The sun was setting at my back and the wind was in my favor, but the terrain was extremely flat and I was not optimistic in getting any stalks to work out. I had 2 Montana Decoys in my backpack, a buck and a doe, and my plan was to try and coax him into range. I got to about a quarter mile from where I'd last seen the buck and his only doe looked my way. Just then I noticed the buck's horns - and that he was headed my way to investigate. I didn't have time to do anything but sit down and hold still. He continued to gallop my way and I slowly nocked an arrow, realizing the setting sun was directly in his face. It no time at all, he was in top-pin range and still closing the gap. I drew my bow and he slowed, stopped and looked at me. My arrow hit him just forward of his left shoulder and buried to the nock. He turned and bolted for a few seconds then slowed up, stood still and fell over dead.

The End.

Now if I could only find a deer or elk to commit suicide in a such a way.

He earned the name Ron Jeremy due to his large jewels..

This picture turned out the best. I was rushing to take as many grip and grin photos as I could before dark while getting eaten alive by skeeters. I thought they'd frozen out up in that country, but apparently not.

Sweet looking buck Greenhorn. I can't wait to see what else you put on the ground this year, as I'm positive that they will be awesome.
