Roan Plateau

Took a little helicopter flight this morning for work and thought I'd post some pics.

The city of Rifle, with the Roan in the distance on the left:

The cliffs along the edge of the plateau. Very impressive at short range!

Here are a few pictures of the small portion of the top of the Roan Plateau that is being debated for gas development. Nice country:

It's a golden eagle nest, but I don't think anyone owns it. Doesn't look like it was active this year.
