Hello everyone, I’m considering building a new/larger reloading bench. I’m sure I’m not the only one interested in other people’s setups so show off your benches and help myself and others with ideas of what does and doesn’t work. I look forward to using your input & creativity to make the best bench setup.69D0EAD5-F8B2-4924-848F-A4D15209DE52.jpeg

I built the NRA gun table a few years ago and it was a beefy table. I moved and built a different one using scrap pieces I scrounged from a remodel project. I believe it's 37" tall and if I had to do it again I'd make it taller. Got those screw tubs when the local hardware store remodeled. I put in a fluorescent light which made the pics look wonky. I have also added a Frankford Arsenal case prep center, RCBS Chargemaster, and a Lyman bullet sizer since taking this pic.

I dig the shelves above the bench. I bet it helps keeping the working area clear.

Looks like a pretty good bench setup. I was going to suggest an above the bench shelf unless the shooting range is right out that window!!!

I've used this one for almost 40 years...

Hahaha....Unfortunately my range is not out the window. But that would make load development super convenient!

I live in a two bedroom apartment with my wife. I stole a corner of the extra bed room for reloading. Built the bench in the garage last December and hauled it up three floors of stairs to put a few coats of poly on it. Got it in place and then screwed it to the studs in the wall. It’s smaller than I wanted but works for this living arrangement for now. Still need to build some smaller shelves to declutter the top but been busy using it.
The main working surface is made from 2x6” ripped down the center and then glued together. Leveled the surface by hand with a belt sander. I used one of those cheap fluorescent-looking LED strip lights from Menards and it was much too bright. Hillbilly ingenuity gave me a shade for it that softened the light in the form of the widest piece of masking tape I could find and added one strip to the bottom and made sure it wrapped around to the front edge too.
