Regifting or selling a gift.

I was involved in a event awhile ago and was given a Citizen watch as a gift. It’s not one of their super high-end watches, 200-300 range which is about 200-300 more than I’ve ever spent on a watch.
Does it go against the laws of nature and man to regift or sell an item that you’re given as a gift?

For that money i would be honest with the giver and explain you appreciate the thought but for 200+ its just not for you. Then give it back

If I got something like that, I’d be trying to sell it before my wife dropped it off at the Goodwill....
