On their way to get married a young Catholic couple was involved in a fatal car accident. The couple found themselves sitting outside the Pearly Gates waiting for St Peter to process them into heaven.
While waiting they begin to wonder - could they get married in heaven. When St Peter finally arrived they asked him. "I don't know. This is the first time it’s been suggested. I will go and find out"
The couple waited for a couple of months. Finally, St Peter returned and told the couple that they could in fact be married in heaven.
"Good" said the couple, "But what if it doesn't work out? Can we get a divorce in heaven?"
St Peter's face turned red with anger and he slammed his clipboard down on the ground. "It took me nearly 3 months to find a priest up here. Do you have any idea how long it will take to find a lawyer?"
