Quick Question

People do a lot of things I wouldn't. I don't lose sleep over what someone else does or doesn't do anymore.

I've met a lot of people that had no idea you can remove the lower leg bones from a hind quarter with just a knife. Most believe you need a saw. Its not as intuitive as the fronts, but if you haven't seen it done or done it before, its not that easy. I think that is the reason most leave it on.

I don't think the "tough" guy or "lazy" guy has much of anything to do with it. Who cares either way. Its not you packing it.

I bone most stuff, unless the pack is close.

I guess to each their own. But my elk/deer are usually a long way from camp and I don't have 4 legged critters to pack my stuff. So my knife goes to work and no bones come out with my meat. I see to always be able to get meat secure in my pack so don't see the need for a bone to help out.
