Brookies generally aren't really big, but they are always easy on the eyes. This was an epic day where it was basically a fish on every cast.

I love high mountain lakes!

What kind of jigs are you using? Brands, colors and sizes. I'm just starting to get into this style of fishing.

Marabou jigs in 1/16 or 1/8 oz. As for color it depends on what the fish like in your area. For me black, firetiger, and brown/yellow are the colors I try first. Some people do really well with white, but I haven't done that well with it around here. However it sure does work well in some states.

Thanks, I'll start looking for them. I've some got Crappie style plastics and they work OK. Any other tricks to try.
