I was just wondering if there's even a chance a first time applier can get a buck tag in Wyoming for Pronghorn?

Drawing odds can give a decent estimation of what to expect the following year.

Dig around on Wyoming's page. There's a lot of data on there.

Getting tags in the northeast units is a given. Where you need to take the time is to figure out where you can access public lands in those units. Don't forget to check out WIAs and HMAs on the WY G&F website.

Google “2019 Wyoming Drawing Odds” and you should find a Wyoming Game and Fish link that will give you plenty of information that will help you find a unit that you can draw this year, as a first timer.

I'm assuming you're a non-resident. If so, don't forget Wyoming has the "special" tag, which is a lot more expensive than a "full price" tag (it's $629 as opposed to $341), but it has much better draw odds as a result and opens up some more units to you. Still, as people on here have said, you're gonna be looking in the eastern part of the state--which is fine, I've had no problem tagging out the last two years there.
