I’ve had some extra time on my hands during the pandemic and thought it would be fun to do something to remember my grandpa who was instrumental in my love for the outdoors and hunting. This is the last deer he got on his last hunt. He saw it in early July in the foothills near our ranch. By then he was too old to go on the annual family elk hunt, but he still loved hunting and saw his chance when he found this buck. He patterned it for a couple months and knew exactly where he would be on opening day. He knew so much about the wildlife and I owe a tremendous amount of my success to him.
