Pretty tickled with my recent find. This is one of the better looking husqvarna rifles I've seen. 30-06, 24" barrel, all in a nice trim package that points like a shotgun. As far as i know it's a 1640 series (no idea on which model), made in 1953-54. It has the steel bottom metal. Weighs 7lbs, 2 oz. Only thing I'm iffy on is the checkered butt, like an English shotgun. Bore is like new, I imagine its alot more fun to carry than shoot.
I plan on bedding it and free floating the barrel and using it. Not much of a safe queen guy. I hope it shoots, the others I've dealt with did.
It has neat flip over weaver scooe mounts. Anyone ever used these? Do they return/stay on zero?
This is a recent import from Sweden. Looks like she's whacked a few moose, reindeer, or bear?
