I’m very happy with my In-reach mini. Plan options from Garmin also make it very flexible to unsubscribe in the months when I don’t need it. Being an early adopter for a phone or TV is one thing…for a “mission critical/life saving device” it’s an entirely different set of decision criteria. Cost may not be the top consideration of it were me making the decision. Maybe give it a go with some low risk hikes and day trips to see how well it works. Maybe carry both for a season (like maybe a friend already has a garmin) and you can compare the two.Has anyone here used one of these Sat Paq's while out hunting?
I saw an article on them the other day and they look they could do a great job of turning your cell phone into an inreach for a smaller cost.
