I spent the day on one of Montana's "ditches". Just checked the LAWS website. Sadly the Montana spear hunting bill looks like it is likely dead....although in this session, who knows. I kinda wish it woulda passed. Also looks like Wellborn's bill to allow the outfitting community to possibly load the MT Board of Outfitters with their own is proceeding along. Anybody have info on teh Hearing yesterday on Wellborn's bill to exempt livestock trailing on game ranges from the MEPA process....if a MEPA process continues to exist as it is now.....

I listened in on the committee hearing on the spear bill, some of the craziest stuff I think I have heard.

Loading? Wow! Imagine that, in government, OR corporate America where CEO's are able to load their BODs? Sad thing is, I have hoored myself out to the corporate side and am just trying to hang on until retirement. Sad fact of life, but just the way it is......

woe to us....how many of us have realized our whore status and are hoping to hang on until retirement. Powers that be willing, 9 years until the wake up for me. If that works as planned, hopefully Walmart will still be hiring. My greeters salary, the $18.50/month left in my retirement, and the $1254.48 in investments hopefully will be enough to pay for my fishing trips to the local town pond to fish for white suckers and reminisce with the other old farts about the good old days...which probably is right now. Probably better enjoy the hell out of the present.....

Chin up onpoint, try whitefishing. Great way to relax and have fun catching lots of fish. Then learn how to smoke em. Yummy! Won't cost you much either.

Iam so sad we won't be having a spear season. I was going to start building spears. It was a jobs bill you know.

Damn. I was looking forward to trying my new butt-out tool, on a spear killed wolf.

When the spear bill hearing was going on one of the committee members asked Hinkle should his bill pass and the spear would be legal during the general season would a 12 year old be able to use a spear. Hinkle's answer, "It would be up to the parent."
