I started another painting of a creature most of you are have seen in the wild I think.

This will be 18X24" He is laying behind a rock ledge observing. Should take about 150 hours . Just getting started.
Plus I got lucky last weekend. Nice swamp doe who made me work.

I just finished up with a 6.5 hr sit. Never been close to one of these but I'm feeling good about how this one is coming along.

The deer over my left shoulder better pay attention to the kitty in front of me! As always, nice work Dave.

With Sandi here the past few days I was able to get a lot of painting done on this lion. A couple updates to where this is now. Started the rock yesterday and working counter clockwise from the upper right.
Thanks for looking

painting getting close to completion , working detail. Maybe 15 hrs more. Anyway here is where I'm at. Next post should be done. I opted to show back ground instead of blurred back ground. I have a book that was published by a friend about 20 years ago " Contemporary Western Artist". I like to reference from the book styles of painting not actual scenery like I've seen some artist do. When I see that done is dampens my impression of the artist.

Anyway Hope you like it. Let me know what you all think. Thanks
